Fall Crafts

Big, big thanks to my friend, Carri, who put together a Fall Craft Package and for a few pennies offered them up on her website. What a fabulous idea! The boys were really excited when I told them about it and today we got started collecting some materials and had a great day in the process.

Here we are at the beginning, picking up leaves to make our leaf mobile. There weren’t a lot of leaves to choose from unfortunately! There were a good number of yellow leaves but these were few and far between:

It’s hard to tell but that’s a red leaf…it looks brown for some reason.

Ryan really got into the collecting:

He thought he looked like Santa because he had stuffed his shoes into his overalls. The boy cannot stand to wear shoes.

There were birds feathers.

There was this stack of stones that reminded me of Stephanie’s post about obos:

Even the weeds looked pretty today. At least I think it’s a weed…

This picture illustrates what Fall looks like here this year. Pretty but disappointing that we don’t have the beautiful colors that one associates with Fall.

This was such a wonderful day walking on the trail, spending time with the boys. They are so much fun to be with! Thanks again to Carri for the Fall Craft Package. We are getting so much out of it!

You are most definitely welcome! I’m thrilled to see how much fun ya’ll had out there.

We don’t have much in the way of beautiful leaves around here this year either. It really took some hard work to find leaves that Catelynn and I wanted to use. Chloe, on the other hand, was perfectly happy with the dried up dead leaves on the ground.

    Madeline,

I love your blog and am incredibly jealous that you are an organic farmer. That is really cool. I want to start an organic garden but I kill everything (plant-wise) and am terrified to even attempt it.

    Thanks for your comment!

He was misdiagnosed by the first vet we used here and that led to a situation where the treatment almost seemed worse than the disease. Thankfully, @lawndale_vet helped us navigate that situation and they have nursed this big boy back to a much happier place. We still are uncertain about how much time we have left with him but, for now, he is the happiest we have seen him in a long time. I am so thankful to the staff at Lawndale for, not only providing great medical care, but for loving on him and making him feel like the best boy ever at each appointment. ❤️❤️❤️

I got my extensions out right before thanksgiving and have been STRUGGLE BUSSING with my hair ever since. Today it looks better than it has in a while so maybe I’m starting to hit my stride with it. Anyway, I hope that you are having an awesome day wherever you are!! ❤️❤️❤️
Sorry, not sorry. Christmas is my favorite season Sorry, not sorry. Christmas is my favorite season and I’m getting a jump on decorating this year. I won’t put ornaments on the tree until both boys are home to decorate with us but I will start getting the rest of the house done!! #itsthemostwonderfultimeoftheyear
This is the face of a very sad boy. Bowie has been This is the face of a very sad boy. Bowie has been suffering with licking granulomas since last March. We got the first one healed and then he got one on his other paw. Then that one got better but his paw pads got rubbed raw by the protective boot he was in and now are infected. Fingers crossed that this cone helps keep him from licking it so he can heal. Until then, Bowie is going to be a very sad boy, indeed. 😢

This cute little cup came in a pack from @christma This cute little cup came in a pack from @christmastreeshops and it’s bringing all the fall vibes today! Yes, it’s still almost 80° here in NC but I’m getting impatient for cooler temps. Trying to will the cool air in! And how cute is that plate behind my cup? My sweet friend @tlventura made it for me and it’s one of two fall decorations I kept when we moved. Hope you’re having an awesome day wherever you are, friends!! ❤️❤️❤️
