It’s a Major Award!

Many thanks to K over at Frog Creek for deeming my little corner of the internet worthy of the following:

light.jpg

I am so inspired by the goings on at Frog Creek that it is one of the highest compliments I’ve ever received. Thank you!!

Now, Rules for next recipients of the Brilliante Weblog Premio are as follows:

1. The award may be displayed on a winner’s blog
2. Add a link to the person you received the award from.
3. Nominate seven other blogs.
4. Add their links to your blog.
5. Add a message to each person that you have passed the award on in the comments section of their blog

Here are the blogs that I am inspired by besides Frog Creek. 🙂

Quiet Life
– I go here when I can because Donna offers such peaceful thoughts and it just makes me feel good to read there. Donna and I are very different in many ways but there is something that just pulls me there and makes me feel like I’m home.

Three Plus Two – Carri inspires me to be more creative. She is always doing the most beautiful things and her blog is another place where I go and just feel completely peaceful. Whenever I read there I feel the urge to get out some supplies and do something artistic!

My Total Perspective Vortex – oh how I love Mama P’s blog. Like all the blogs I love to visit, it’s a window into her world and I like seeing and feeling like I’m not all alone in this thing. She has inspired me and encouraged me to try my hand at gardening this year and, from her tips I was able to harvest my own tomatoes and peppers. It has increased my interest in having a big garden next year!

Good Without Gluten – Now, I’m not a person with celiac but I love Jeff’s blog because it just inspires me to eat healthier. He has some incredibly delicious recipes there and is a darn good writer to boot. It’s a fun place to visit but a little bit like the grocery store. Don’t go there on an empty stomach!!

Tara Whitney – I go here often and am so awed by the talent this woman possesses. Her photography is out-of-this-world and her blog is a fun place to visit. She’s a busy lady though so I don’t expect her to acknowledge this award (she’d have to do it all the time! lol) but I’m listing it here because it’s one of my fave places to visit.

Pinch My Salt – Nicole is someone I met through Flickr and by virtue of that I found her site. She has some amazing photos and recipes and she constantly inspires me to be a better cook. Check her site out, you will NOT be disappointed. You will be ready to get in the kitchen and get to cookin’!!!

And last but not least is Being Bumble. This blog is really delightful and gives you a good look at what an unschooling kid is really like. I love reading here because it inspires me to keep going and keep giving my boys the freedom to be themselves.

And because I can’t limit myself to seven, I’d also like to nominate Gillen’s Outdoors and jessegamer. More examples of unschooling at work. These boys are amazing and I love the things they have on their blogs. My boys like to visit them, too.

Thanks, K, for giving me this award! I appreciate it more than you know, especially since I find you equally as inspiring!

Just found your blog through Donna’s and your entry about Disney caught my eye…simply because we too just got back (well we got back on 8/28) but it’s close enough. Spaceship Earth was our favorite and we too spent a lot of time in Epcot.

Also, for your future reference, I originally was not going to take the DSLR camera (hubby and kids wanted me to leave it at home) on the trip because it would be hot and I didn’t feel like lugging it. HOWEVER, the instructor in my photography class told me about a really neat bag to get that would hold all I needed for traipsing around the parks without feeling bogged down and it worked! I took over 400 photos while there and the bag was very convenient to have and use!

    Take care!

Thanks for your comment, Dot! I actually have a great bag but since this was my third trip to DW in a year, I didn’t feel a need to take the camera on this trip. 😉 This one was all about focusing on the kids, who get tired of me dragging out my camera all the time. LOL Since it will be a while til we go again, I’m sure the camera will go, too.

Madeline, their blogs inspired my oldest to begin one of his own! The award is well-deserved. Gillen updates his blog as often as Iain updates his. lol

He was misdiagnosed by the first vet we used here and that led to a situation where the treatment almost seemed worse than the disease. Thankfully, @lawndale_vet helped us navigate that situation and they have nursed this big boy back to a much happier place. We still are uncertain about how much time we have left with him but, for now, he is the happiest we have seen him in a long time. I am so thankful to the staff at Lawndale for, not only providing great medical care, but for loving on him and making him feel like the best boy ever at each appointment. ❤️❤️❤️

We got the first one healed and then he got one on his other paw. Then that one got better but his paw pads got rubbed raw by the protective boot he was in and now are infected. Fingers crossed that this cone helps keep him from licking it so he can heal. Until then, Bowie is going to be a very sad boy, indeed. 😢

My sweet friend @tlventura made it for me and it’s one of two fall decorations I kept when we moved. Hope you’re having an awesome day wherever you are, friends!! ❤️❤️❤️
