Mama Podkayne turned me on to a good cause where all the proceeds benefit the Food Bank of St. Mary’s which is the largest in the Seattle, WA area. Times are hard all around these days and while I do my share of charitable donations locally, I am glad to be able to do something for a neighbor all the way on the other side of our great country. I am submitting a piece of art for auction, courtesy of Art For Food. The print I’m donating is one of my favorites thus far:
It is being mailed off this morning. For more information on this wonderful cause, please go to their website: www.artforfood.blogspot.com People everywhere need our help and this is a fun way to offer aid to someone in need.
In other news, I’m sick. YUCK! This morning I greeted the day with a terribly sore throat, and I hate having a sore throat. My nose can run right off my face and it doesn’t bother me as much as a sore throat does! It should be gone in a couple of days though, based on how it affected the boys. Getting my Etsy store ready has taken me a little longer than I thought it would, seeing as how I am the world’s biggest procrastinator! Yesterday a lot got done though and I’m hopeful that everything will be up and ready by Friday. The State Fair print you see above will be sold on the Etsy site, just in case you’re interested. 🙂
The boys and I are going to do some snuggly things together today, since I feel yucky. Anyone make a mean chicken soup? LOL Hope you have a wonderful day!

When I get sick I love Thai Chicken soup. The spicy with the coconut sweet is just perfect. I’ll see if I can dig up the recipe.

I hope by now you are feeling better. Something about being sick during the summer just doesn’t seem right to me.
