Mike Krzyzewski – “The truth is that many people set rules to keep from making decisions.”
This is so true in so many ways. People set rules for children so they can parent on auto-pilot and not have to be confronted with making decision after decision. I know this is not the context in which he said it but it certainly can apply to unschooling.
Don’t you think?!

I totally agree and have posted on it, it is so easy to sit high and mighty and make up rules and punishments. It takes real work, real thinking, real discussion to get to the heart of the matter and parent from the kid’s perspective.
