On Saturday we went to a Fall Festival that was being offered at a local park. Admission was free and it seemed like there were a lot of fun things to do with the kids so we were off! Well, the parking situation left something to be desired but once we finally got into the park, things went pretty well. The boys were able to touch and hold a snake:
They entered a contest to name a Ball Python that belongs to the park holding the festival:
There were games to play:
Arrows to shoot:
Snowcones to eat:
And then it was just time to run around like the total lunatics that they are. 🙂
Sunday, the boys got haircuts. Iain got his done at Great Clips and Sean cut Ryan’s hair because he was too scared to let the stylist do it. I miss their long hair but it was getting on their nerves so they asked to get it cut.
Oh, it will grow back. How many mom’s want their kids to have long hair? I just thought it was adorable!

How wonderful!!
When I see things like this, I think (sigh) we gotta get out more!
and then I realize that Madd is just little, and we have time yet.
Did you lighten their hair?
whimsigal says
LOL I didn’t lighten their hair chemically. Photoshop can do some amazing things. I got some new actions and a new filter and was playing around with it on the new haircut photos.
Was it too much? I thought it looked really cool.

Oh the hair! My son has always had long hair. There were a few times when he has cut it really short but he has always went back to long. It’s the longest it has ever been right now. I wish I could show you a picture, but alas he just won’t let me.
whimsigal says
Oh, I would love to see a picture but I understand his desire for privacy, too.
I was a little sad that they wanted it cut but I had to respect their desire to cut it. As sad as it made me to do it! They just looked so free with that hair!

Those faces! Those eyes! Precious.
whimsigal says
Hey Laura!
They get those eyes from their dad. And that blond hair too. For years I paid good money for hair that color and then my boys exit the womb with it naturally!
