I swear. This camera is going to make me crazy! I see so many photos that I love and want to be able to achieve the same looks but for some reason, success eludes me. I’m not unhappy with my photos necessarily, but I just can’t figure out how to make them look more colorful, sharp and soft in all the right places.
The boys were kind enough to let me shoot a couple a pictures of them today:
Then I took a couple of pictures of the glorious fall plumage that has finally decided to decorate the trees in my yard:
Of course, this last one isn’t very fallish but I thought the yellow-green leaves were really beautiful, too.
The boys are in the playroom on their computers, having a very good time from what I can hear. Sometimes it is still an amazement to me that, given the freedom to do whatever they choose, they don’t play video games all day. They read comics, play computer games, and play outside. I wish everyone would give their kids freedom to make choices like that then they would be pleasantly surprised, too.

Oh Evie, those photos are beautiful! I couldn’t imagine a better photo of those gorgeous boys.

Thanks, Carri! I had to tweak them a little to get the color the way I wanted it in Photoshop and I think that’s my frustration. I see folks, like the Pioneer Woman, who take really beautiful vivid photos, and I don’t know what their pics look like before they tweak them. Now matter what I’ve done I can’t get them as colorful as hers!!
That said, I love these pics of my boys, too. They really hate posing for me. 🙂 I have to take what I can get!
