It’s only Tuesday but already this week has been full of playtimes with friends. Iain met a boy about a month ago who lives up the street and they have become friends. He’s a really nice kid and gets along well with Ryan too which is nice. Sadly, we just found out that his dad got a new job and they’re moving to Hawaii!! Great for them but sad for us. Iain also has reconnected with a buddy from his public school days. Yesterday, his friend Noah came down and played all afternoon and they had so much fun! At one point, we were all huddled around the kitchen table performing some science experiments and having a great time. This morning we went over to visit some of Ryan’s friends from his preschool. I am friends with the mom and it had been a while since we’d all gotten together. It was great! I got to meet her new baby and the boys and girls all got to play and eat lunch together. Here are some photos from our Kid Mosh today:
This is my friend’s new baby. Isn’t she precious?!
This is one of Ryan’s preschool friends. His other friend is her twin sister pictured here:
And then there was this wild thing! She was just starting to toddle around the last time I saw her. So precious!
I admire my friend Sharon very much. She is so calm even when all the kids are clamoring for her attention at once. Sometimes it’s all I can do to stay on even keel with my two!
This afternoon, Iain’s friend LJ (who’s moving to HI) came over and played for a long time. I think tomorrow evening, Iain is going over there to hang out and watch a movie for a while. I’m so sad that Iain has found this great kid to be friends with and he’s moving in less than a month. It’s just so nice that he is right up the street, within walking distance, and that they get along so well. I don’t know what we’re going to do on the day he moves away, it’s going to be rough, that’s for sure.
Nothing else new here really. I spent some time yesterday cleaning the house and getting Ryan’s room ready for his new bed. The laundry had gotten really backed up while I was recovering so I’m working on that one load at a time. It feels good to walk around the house and see things coming back together! Hopefully by the end of this weekend, it will be almost all the way ready. It will be quite a relief!

Oh no. I can’t believe LJ is moving. That sucks for Iain. I know he’s going to be devestated.
The girls are absolutely gorgeous. I can’t believe how much they’ve grown.
