Today I’m going to help the boys begin filming their movie, “Mario and Luigi: Attack of the Clones”. We’re going to be creating the storyline and then figuring out where we want the scenes to take place. Once we have all that planned out, we will layout which scenes will be shot in what order and then we’ll begin filming. When filming is complete, we’ll use some movie making software that came with boys’ computers to edit and then we’ll post it on You Tube. We’ll post a link here when it’s ready. They’re so excited and frankly I am, too. When I was little, our family didn’t own a video camera so it’s a lot of fun for me to be able to allow them to play with one. Technology is so cheap these days that it makes so many cool things available to everyone.
A couple of days ago I took a deep breath and shared this blog with my family. All the responses I have gotten so far have been very positive with the exception of a couple of “I don’t agree with everything…” but that’s ok. That’s the beauty of family. We are not going to see eye-to-eye on everything but we’ll still love each other anyway. Right now I am feeling a little bit like I have to be more careful with my words because I don’t want to hurt any one’s feelings but eventually I hope that goes away. It’s more important to me to have a raw, accurate account of the goings on here, not the G-rated version. It’ll happen when I quit thinking about it, I guess.
Last night, it was so frickin‘ hot here that the boys couldn’t fall asleep upstairs. They came down around 10pm and, since it’s cooler downstairs, we let them fall asleep on the sofa. For a little while, though, they were looking at books together and it was SO sweet. They were snuggled up like puppies together and just looked so precious.

I look forward to seeing the movie. It’s always interesting to see how children view the world around them. 😉

Wonderful!
I’ll look forward to it, too!

Me, too Sheri. Be forewarned. It will contain many references to poop and farts as that is a recent obsession around here. 🙂

Steph! You’re here! 🙂
You know, we ended up not getting anything done with this today. It was so damn hot that I just didn’t feel like doing anything. We’re going to tackle it tomorrow.
I’ve been feeling a little under the weather so it’s been difficult to get going!

Heh! Doesn’t every conversation with little boys revolve around poop and farts to some degree?

So, true Sheri….so true!
