I wish I had a nice camera. After visiting my favorite blogs, Happy and Free, Pioneer Woman, and SouleMama, the desire to have a better camera has become incredibly potent. I NEED it. Well, not really, but it would be so nice to have a nicer camera to capture pics of my kids. Not that I would even know what to do with it if I had one but it would be fun to figure it out as we go.
Another desire I have is to learn how to sew. So many bloggers out there have fantastic projects that they’ve done and it really creates an urge for me to get out my machine and give it a shot. My machine is pretty basic and I don’t know where to begin to use it! The boys are always asking me to sew costumes for them and it would be so nice to be able to honor those requests.
Enough of my whining about these material things…
We spent the 4th of July holiday visiting relatives in PA. My husbands brother and his wife live there with their two daughters and we had a lovely time catching up. We spent one day in Hershey Park and that was tons of fun, too. Ryan rode a roller coaster and, because none of us looked at the thrill level of the ride, he was terrified! He recovered well though and proceeded to ride other things, although they were much tamer than the coaster!
Well, Iain has just finished watching Wishbone, one about Joan of Arc, and he is asking me questions about France and Great Britain’s history so I’m off to dig up some info for him. Unschooling, it really happens all the time. Do you believe me yet?

A great post!
Er… and not just because you said something nice about my blog! 🙂
Hope you’re well, friend, and thanks for making me miss my camera so much! (just teasing)
But it’s killing me to not take pictures for OLM.
Hopefully soon!

I hope you get to take some soon, too! I really enjoy your photos. Although it will increase the pressure on my hubby for a new camera. Ours is 2 mp and makes me feel like I’m using a Disc camera. Remember those??

Ha! No.
I went from film to my last one.
I want to learn to sew, too. And knit. And take beautiful pictures. And sketch. And paint. And be always well behaved….

Having goals is a beautiful thing! It always seems like there’s not enough time to accomplish them all. That’s ok though. It’s fun to at least try!
