It’s A Major Award!

Ok, so I really love the movie, A Christmas Story and have been dying to use that line somehow somewhere. Thank you Laura for providing me with the opportunity to do so! Laura very kindly passed this award out to 10 bloggers and included me on the list. Thank you friend!

I feel so special. Part of the acceptance of the award is to recognize 10 bloggers that you think are excellent. I don’t know if I can come up with 10 without duplicating some that have already been given the award but I’m going to give it my best shot:

Marin at I Candy. Her posts are not large in number but very powerful in communicating what life is like as an unschooler. I learn a lot from her examples. Also, it’s such a blessing to have her close enough to visit!

Stephanie at Ordinary Life Magic. Since she has already been recognized for her other ROCKIN’ blog, I’m giving a shout out to the blog where she records the goings on in her children’s lives. It is an incredible view into two magical children’s lives. Please check it out. You will be enthralled and might find yourself there for a while.

Child’s Play is another blog chock full of goodness and ideas. I haunt it frequently.

My So Called Homeschool has long been a favorite stop of mine and I know it will be for you, too.

Oh, Mama P. Mama Podkayne has some great stuff on her blog, not to mention an incredibly fun photo theme challenge that she’s started doing. Another reason I can’t seem to get any laundry done. I’m reading all these blogs every day! LOL

That Girl Tasha is another blog that hasn’t had a ton of posts lately but when she does, dang! It’s always something eye-opening.

Carri at three plus two is testing the boundaries and perceptions of self and at the same time posting a plethora of creative ideas about life and parenting. I love her blog!

Cate, my hyster sister over at Moments of Whimsy. My NZ soul sister! I love going to her blog, too because, besides being extremely fun, she shows me what people are like in my dream country of NZ. I was so excited when she started posting here!

Kalurah over at while they play. She takes some of the best photos and has an all-around fun blog. She constantly inspires me to hone my photography skills! She also has a photo blog.

One thing I want to say is how lucky I am to know all these women. In different ways, they inspire me, move me, and make me laugh. It is an amazing feeling, like I’m connected to an incredible group of people, rich and diverse in their interests and I feel richer for knowing all of you!

Thanks to Laura for giving me the award. I really appreciate it!!! Now go check out all the blogs on this list!

Thanks, Evie! I know,I know, my posts are not large in number…I am working on it. It seems to take me forever to get my act together and post something. It really means a lot to me that you think my blog is coool. And, I am so lucky that you live near by too!!

Marin, I hope my comment about “posts not large in number” didn’t come across wrong. What I meant was that you pack a lot of punch in the posts you make. A lot of bang for your buck. Did you interpret it that way? I hope so. 🙂

It’s hard to live a life and maintain a blog!

Did you not get my comments?
One was “Congratulations!” and “I noticed that you took the good ones – and right quickly, too!” 🙂 By what, like seven in the morning??? 🙂

And the other was “thanks so much for awarding OLM – it means a lot to me!”
    xxoo

Stephanie, I didn’t get your comments. That’s weird. Must be some kind of Blogger snafu.

I took all the good ones by 7am? Ha! Maybe by 7am your time. 🙂 I don’t think I was up that early but I’ll have to go back and check. lol

Congratulations to you as well. I am certainly in good company.

I love you and both your blogs so much. Both awards are quite well deserved. Thank you for recognizing my other blog, too!

Oh, I totally didn’t take it the wrong way! I knew what you meant. I was just trying to think about why it always takes me so long to post! Thanks for clarifying though:)

I swear I left a comment, too. Must have been a weird glitch?!

    So, I’ll repeat…
    *clearing throat for acceptance speech*
“You LIKE me! You REALLY LIKE me!”

    🙂

    Thank you!

He was misdiagnosed by the first vet we used here and that led to a situation where the treatment almost seemed worse than the disease. Thankfully, @lawndale_vet helped us navigate that situation and they have nursed this big boy back to a much happier place. We still are uncertain about how much time we have left with him but, for now, he is the happiest we have seen him in a long time. I am so thankful to the staff at Lawndale for, not only providing great medical care, but for loving on him and making him feel like the best boy ever at each appointment. ❤️❤️❤️

We got the first one healed and then he got one on his other paw. Then that one got better but his paw pads got rubbed raw by the protective boot he was in and now are infected. Fingers crossed that this cone helps keep him from licking it so he can heal. Until then, Bowie is going to be a very sad boy, indeed. 😢

My sweet friend @tlventura made it for me and it’s one of two fall decorations I kept when we moved. Hope you’re having an awesome day wherever you are, friends!! ❤️❤️❤️
