Still waiting for Harry

Uncategorized

Harry’s not here yet. I checked and he’s in transit but that doesn’t help me much now. All morning I’ve been avoiding news channels and websites like the plague for fear that one of them would ruin the ending for me. Is this weird? I don’t know. Usually I’m out there, looking for spoilers to my favorite TV shows but somehow this feels different. For some reason my mom wants Harry to bite the dust. I told her that she is so weird. Why would she say something like that? I think she’s jealous of J.K.’s success but that’s a story for another day. My mom is also up in arms about the Paul McCartney/Heather Mills divorce settlement but I digress. Anyway, I’m still waiting for Harry and I know once he gets here, I’ll be fighting for time to read it. I hope he gets here soon! I’ll stay up all night to finish it if necessary.

Hey! I remembered what we did on Wednesday. It was Mario and Luigi day and the boys drew things like this and taped them up on the walls all over the house. They’re all still up, just in case you were wondering. It entertained them for a very long time, too.

Last night, we all hung out together and watched the movie, “Back to the Future” with Michael J. Fox. Remember that one? The kids really enjoyed it although I must admit to getting a little uncomfortable at the scene where Biff is essentially trying to rape Lea Thompson towards the end of the movie. The boys knew something was wrong with what he was doing but they didn’t know exactly what that was. We just told them that Biff was trying to make her kiss him and she didn’t want to. The boys were pretty outraged by that, probably because they don’t like being forced to kiss anybody either. I was surprised at how wrapped up they were in the story because you never can tell what is going to hold their interest.
