While most kids sleep…

unschooling

Mine are up doing all kinds of things. On Friday night, around 12:30am, Ryan asked me to get down a box that held some math “manipulatives” that I had purchased during our initial school-at-home phase. He then proceeded to play with all kinds of things:

He and Sean sat together and played with dominoes. Ryan really loves doing that.

Then he created some people using rubber bands and pegboards. Afterwards, he got out the scale and was weighing some little plastic bears and trying to figure out if the different colors all had different weights. It was really fun to see him have this creative spurt so late at night! Many times the boys get inspired to do things late and, if it’s feasible we do what we can to oblige their requests. Just another one of the beauties of living the way we do.

kalurah, they did indeed enjoy themselves immensely!

Stephanie, it sounds like Maddie and Ryan may be soulmates. Putting them together could be dangerous! LOL
