Thanks Stephanie for putting up this challenge. It’s good to sit and think about all the wonderful moments one experiences during the day and for one week, Steph has challenged us to record them here, all in one post. I don’t know how to do that without duplicating the post as a new entry so it’ll be interesting but anyway, here goes.

Sunday
We went to a local farm, The Goat Lady Dairy, where they were having their annual open house. It’s free to the public and since we’ve recently gotten interested in the world around us off we went to explore the farm. It was magical! On the way there, the boys were having a conversation with each other about how our town was once a small village. Iain was explaining to Ryan that at one time, people didn’t have toilets, electricity, grocery stores, etc and Ryan was really interested in what Iain had to say. They were sharing ideas of what they believed life may have been like and then they asked us for our opinions and knowledge. It was a remarkable car ride out to the farm.
At the farm, the boys ran from place to place, admiring goats, “Look, Momma! That one is smiling!”, cows, pigs. Chasing chickens. Feeding the goats kids. Looking at the beautiful vegetables being grown by these local farmers. It was awesome to see the excitement and wonder on their faces when they were presented with all these different things and it warmed my heart so to be there with them. Now we all want to live on a farm and we had a lot of fun imagining the animals we would have there.
These were two of my moments from today. I’m sure there were many more but these were the ones that stuck out to me. This challenge is fun!

Aaaaah, how sweet!
I love great communication between my children!
I actually meant in one post – like add to the post then publish it at the end of the week.
But you can damned well do it however you like! 🙂
THe point is, as you said, to notice and share special moments – to get our minds looking for the good in the day, instead of letting our days get away from us.
xxoo

Oh for goodness sake! Leave it to me to misunderstand what you were saying! LOL
I will do that for the rest of the week then and wait until next Sunday to post the finished product.
This was a really great idea, Steph!

It is sweet to hear all this good stuff about your kids. I love how Iain was explaining things to Ryan.
Can anybody do the challenge? Stephanie came up with a great idea.

Please, do the challenge! I’m sure Stephanie would love it!
